The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the Halal Expo 2026, held in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, as part of the "Russia-Islamic World KazanForum 2026" International Economic Forum. The event features wide participation from government delegations, companies, and economic institutions from around the world.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, represented by Oman Exports, is organizing the Sultanate of Oman's pavilion from May 13th to 15th, in cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada). Eleven Omani companies representing several promising economic sectors are participating, including fisheries, construction, pharmaceuticals, food, and services. More than 50 Omani businesspeople and company representatives are also attending.
The Sultanate of Oman's participation in this international event comes within the framework of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion's efforts to enhance the presence of Omani products in global markets, explore new export opportunities, and build trade and investment partnerships with promising markets. This contributes to the development of non-oil exports and the achievement of the goals of Oman Vision 2040 related to diversifying the national economy and enhancing the competitiveness of national products.
The Halal Expo Forum and Exhibition is one of the most prominent international events specializing in the fields of Islamic economy and the halal industry. It brings together manufacturers and economic and investment decision-makers from around the world, serving as a platform for dialogue and trade aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, creating partnerships between exporters and importers, opening new horizons for strategic partnerships between countries, and promoting promising investment opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman.
The exhibition is witnessing broad international attendance and distinguished participation from exhibiting companies and institutions. It also features dialogue sessions and bilateral meetings discussing the future of the halal industry, investment opportunities, modern technologies, food security, and the development of supply chains and logistics services related to Islamic markets over three days.
